The EU sees red over Greenland threat

The EU’s knickers are in a huge bunch, as well they should be, about TOM and Stephen Miller’s overt threat to take over Greenland. Right on the heels of kidnapping a sitting president (even if he was corrupt). I mean, look we have the same situation right here in the US. Sitting president. Corrupt. Felon. Refused to accept election results. Uses his power to further the bottom line of his companies and his family. Hmmmm. Maybe TOM was just jealous that Maduro had to this point done a better job of being a dictator. So the EU. Mad. And posturing. “The leaders issued a statement reaffirming the strategic, mineral-rich Arctic island “belongs to its people.”

The leaders of France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom joined Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in defending Greenland’s sovereignty in the wake of Trump’s comments about Greenland, which is a self-governing territory of the kingdom of Denmark and thus part of the NATO military alliance.

“Greenland belongs to its people,” the statement said. “It is for Denmark and Greenland, and them only, to decide on matters concerning Denmark and Greenland.” Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry, who Trump appointed last month as U.S. special envoy to Greenland, said when it comes to making a deal with Greenland he isn’t interested in talking to people in Denmark who “absolutely have made their position clear” nor does he want to talk European diplomats. Instead, he said, he wants to have conversations directly with residents of Greenland.” Oh, so we can’t do anything for our own citizens in terms of health care or cost of groceries but we’re going to take on some more people in need (of course they won’t be called immigrants, mind you!) whom we also won’t be able to take care of. “Greenland had been a colony of the Danish kingdom for hundreds of years, becoming an integral part in 1953. The U.S. government recognized Denmark’s right to the whole of Greenland at the beginning of the 20th century.” Just a little side note to Stephen Miller who seems to think that the Danes just recently up and decided to “own” Greenland.

We haven’t even gotten our fingers out of Caracas yet and TOM is full steam ahead on new conquests. He doesn’t know what to do with the shiny new toy he just got let alone any new toys that he steals from the other kids. “President Donald Trump has made broad but vague assertions that the United States is going to “run” Venezuela after the ouster of Nicolás Maduro but has offered almost no details about how it will do so, raising questions among some lawmakers and former officials about the administration’s level of planning for the country after Maduro was gone.

And now TOM is shutting off the taps to five Dem states without any indication that the fraud being investigated in MN is evident anywhere else. “The Trump administration plans to freeze $10 billion in funding for child care subsidies, social services and cash support for low-income families in five states controlled by Democrats, claiming widespread fraud throughout those states, without citing evidence, after a major welfare fraud scheme in one of them.

Minnesota, New York, California, Illinois and Colorado will be cut off from around $7 billion in funding for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program, which provides cash assistance to households with children, according to two people familiar with the matter. The five states will also lose access to nearly $2.4 billion for the Child Care and Development Fund, which supports child care for working parents, and around $870 million for social services grants that mostly benefit children at risk, the people said.
