It’s truly official now. TOM is The King. I know this because there is a draft $1 coin with his ugly mug on it. And the only place where a sitting government leader puts their faces on currency is the UK. Oh and random third world, autocratic dictatorships. And by definition, the US of A is now one of those third-world autocratic dictatorships. “An autocratic dictatorship is a form of government where a single individual, known as an autocrat or dictator, holds absolute, unlimited, and unchecked power over the state and its people. The ruler's decisions are not subject to legal restraints or the will of the populace, and political opposition is suppressed, often through intimidation or force.” So back to the coin…..” The U.S. Treasury on Friday released a draft design for a $1 coin featuring President Donald Trump to commemorate 250 years since the declaration of American independence in 2026.

The front of the potential design showed Trump in profile with the word "liberty" above him and "1776-2026" below, according to images shared by Treasurer Brandon Beach on X and subsequently released by Treasury. The other side of the coin showed Trump holding a raised clenched fist framed with the words "fight, fight, fight" - a reference to what he said immediately after surviving an assassination attempt last year - and a flag in the background.” There aren’t enough puke emojis to put after that sentence. Never, ever, ever will I touch or use that coin. And I may even  - with PPE gloves on – throw as many as I can find in the garbage.

I wish TOM were in person for this one. “In response to President Donald Trump’s decision to deploy 200 federalized National Guard troops to Portland, activists are planning a naked bike ride to protest the move. Organizers with the World Naked Bike Ride Portland announced the plan this week in a social media post. Naked bike riding as a form of activism is nothing new for Portlanders, whose annual World Naked Bike ride was born out of resistance to Big Oil’s pollution in the fight against climate change and to promote body positivity.

The upcoming demonstration is being coordinated by a branch of the original World Naked Bike Ride. It comes after the organization created an impromptu event following the cancellation of the event in 2024.” Leave it to Portland to one up TOM.
