TOM calls for hanging of Congress people

It Can’t Happen Here. Once again we are back to the book that began this blog. TOM is now calling for the execution of elected officials. For stating the law in public videos. Really people? We’re allowing this to stand? No one sees this as an unhinged man unfit for service to the country? And certainly far beyond fit to serve as President. “President Trump accused a group of Democratic lawmakers of sedition in an outburst on social media Thursday morning and said their behavior was “punishable by death.”

Their crime? Recording a video that reminded members of the military that they are not supposed to obey illegal orders.

“SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!” Mr. Trump wrote in one post. He shared a different post, written by another person, that said: “HANG THEM GEORGE WASHINGTON WOULD !!”

The video that enraged the president had been put out online two days ago by six Democratic lawmakers, all of whom had served in either the military or intelligence community themselves. Mr. Trump’s series of posts about the video on Thursday accused Ms. Slotkin and her fellow Democrats of traitorous conduct. One of his posts carried his signature sign-off which usually indicates he was the actual author of the post as opposed to an aide. It read: “This is really bad, and Dangerous to our Country. Their words cannot be allowed to stand. SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! LOCK THEM UP??? President DJT.” Asked about the president’s post that the Democratic lawmakers had committed a crime punishable by death, the Republican Senate majority leader, John Thune, said: “I don’t agree with that.” He might go a little further and call spade a spade. With the number of nut job MAGA crazy lunatics out there, this is fuel for their fire and a bull’s eye on their backs. Some nutty, gun-toting TOM loyalist is going to take this as license to kill. So much for cooling the rhetoric after Charlie Kirk.

A “fascist” and a “communist” walk into a bar. Nope, not a joke. Except it wasn’t a bar, it was the Oval. And it was TOM and Mamdani. Though mostly serious, there was one point at which TOM saved an uncomfortable Mamdani. “Asked by a journalist about his prior reference to Trump as a “fascist,” Mamdani started to respond about how he and the president have differing viewpoints — but Trump interrupted, and said it was OK for him to just acknowledge it.

“That’s OK, you can just say it,” Trump said, smiling and patting Mamdani on the arm.” “It’s easier than explaining it — I don’t mind!”

“Yes,” Mamdani said, smiling, in response to the questions.” New York City’s mayor-elect told reporters his meeting with President Donald Trump was productive, with the two leaders sharing a love of their shared hometown.

“I look forward to working together to deliver that affordability for New Yorkers,” Mamdani said in the Oval Office.

Well, no fireworks. Maybe TOM is softening? Nooooo. He probably just hadn’t re-loaded his zinger machine today.
