Two L's on the board for TOM

Oct 29, 2025 (282/1461)

Couple of big zeros for TOM recently. To no one’s surprise, the “peace deal’ in the Middle East did not hold up. With both Hamas and Israel resuming munitions lobbing, seems that Nobel is retreating even further. “

Israeli strikes in Gaza killed at least nine people after it accused Hamas of violating the US-brokered ceasefire deal and staging the discovery of a deceased hostage.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the military to carry out “immediate, powerful strikes in the Gaza Strip,” his office said in a short statement. The US was notified of the decision to carry out strikes in Gaza, a US official told CNN.

A military official said Hamas had attacked Israeli troops east of the so-called yellow line, which separates Israeli-occupied Gaza from the remainder of the territory. The troops, in the Rafah area of southern Gaza, had come under RPG and sniper fire, the official said. Hamas denounced what it called the “criminal bombardment” by Israel, which it said violated the ceasefire agreement. It also denied attacking IDF soldiers. However, it said it was still committed to the ceasefire.” Maybe Hamas has a different definition of cease fire than the rest of us. Needless to say, TOM not happy.

Seems a military admiral is voting with his feet. “Amid U.S. war drums pounding all around Venezuela, the admiral in charge of U.S. Southern Command — who would oversee any such conflict — announced his retirement after less than a year into what is usually a prized three-year assignment. Lawmakers fear the U.S. is once again sailing into uncharted waters. “Never before in my over 20 years on the committee can I recall seeing a combatant commander leave their post this early and amid such turmoil,” Representative Adam Smith of Washington, the senior Democrat on the armed services committee, said. “I have also never seen such a staggering lack of transparency on behalf of an administration and the department to meaningfully inform Congress on the use of lethal military force.” Maybe he was getting out before the court martials start raining down for the illegal war that TOM has started with Venezuela.

It also seems TOM may be off his meds today as he went on a not-so-unusual off script rant. But his target – beautiful people – is very un-TOM. “President Trump took some time to ramble about how much he despises attractive people while he spoke to troops aboard the USS George Washington at the Yokosuka Naval Base in Yokosuka, Japan.

“It comes from you people, incredible people, good-looking people—too many good-looking people,” Trump said during his speech. “I don’t like good-looking people. I never liked good people, I’ll be honest with you. I’ve never admitted that before.” His disdain for hot people wasn’t the only strange moment of Trump’s address to U.S. troops. He lied that energy and grocery prices are “way down.” They are not. He also told the sailors to “go out and buy a Toyota” and said that former President Joe Biden claimed to be a pilot, which seems to be completely made up.”

He also seemed to be trying to educate the Naval personnel to whom he was speaking…..about water.  Of all things. “Donald Trump went on a deranged rant about the power of water to destroy magnets during a rambling address to the U.S. Navy just off the coast of Japan. Speaking aboard the USS George Washington aircraft carrier during his tour of East Asia, the president appeared to suggest—in a largely incoherent speech—that he is pushing for aircraft carriers to use “steam for the catapults” and hydraulics for elevators, while wrongly claiming that water can disable magnets. “You know, the new thing is magnets. So instead of using hydraulic that can be hit by lightning and it’s fine. You take a little glass of water, you drop it on magnets, I don’t know what’s going to happen,” Trump said.” Oy. The cringe emoji that is in my head is BIG.  I mean huuuuuge.

TOM thinks he's living in Minority Report (and wants to kill the pre-cogs)

Dec 14, 2025 (328/1461) TOM appears to be living out Minority Report in real life. He has the audacity to tell the ICC that there will...
