TOM is so egotistical that he had to be the first to announce that they had Charlie Kirk’s killer in custody. He just cannot help himself to be in the limelight, to be the hero, to be the information holder. It’s certainly fantastic news that the killer has hopefully been arrested. But what is TOM f’s up in what he’s saying and blows the prosecution’s case? With one stupid comment or opinion or phrase of conjecture. Tanked. Dude goes free or gets some minor infraction. TOM is not known for his ability to stifle or control himself when speaking. If TOM blows this case, I hope his party takes him down.
And the War Against The People is coming soon to a city near you. Next up: Memphis! “President Donald Trump said Friday he’ll send the National Guard to Memphis to address crime concerns there with the support of the mayor and the governor.
Trump, a Republican, said on Fox News Channel “the mayor is happy” and “the governor is happy” about the pending deployment. The mayor is a Democrat, and the governor is a Republican.
He said the city is “deeply troubled” and “we’re going to fix that just like we did Washington,” where he’s sent National Guard and surged federal law enforcement. Trump said he “would have preferred going to Chicago,” where local politicians have fiercely resisted his plans, but he suggested it was a “hostile” place with “professional agitators.” Professional agitators? You mean patriotic Americans who won’t let you militarize their city, you egotistical, demonic dictator? Well, Memphis, if you don’t like the looks of this, better pool your money and hire those professional agitators from ChiTown. (insert wink emoji) Rise up or be beaten down.
After the incursion of drones into Polish airspace, somehow TOM (who claims he’s soooo mad at Putin) manages to give the dude a break. “Poland has flatly rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s suggestion that Russian drones in its airspace “could have been a mistake.” Warsaw insisted Friday that the incursions were deliberate provocations.
NATO fighters scrambled to intercept the drones, marking the alliance’s first direct engagement with enemy aircraft inside allied territory. Investigators say much of the wreckage indicates the drones were unarmed decoys – meant to draw fire while Russia targeted Ukraine. Moscow denies responsibility, but European officials warn the incursion is a dangerous escalation. Asked about the incident Thursday, Trump told reporters, “It could have been a mistake. Could have been a mistake.” He added he was “not happy about anything having to do with that whole situation” but hoped the conflict would “come to an end.” Wow. A mistake. Yah. Whoopsie. NATO ally, right next to us. We just really don’t know where our borders are.
With such poor history of federal nominations, the D’s in the Senate have been holding out on approving many current TOM nominees awaiting appointment. So the R’s cut off their nose to spite their face. (and we wonder why people are shooting each other in this country; can no one find a path forward that involves negotiation and mutual respect and understanding)? “Senate Republicans on Thursday changed their chamber’s rules to circumvent Democratic opposition to many of President Donald Trump’s nominations. Dubbed the “nuclear option” by politicos, the move upends one of the Upper Chamber’s norms that force bipartisan agreements before things get done.
The party-line vote on Thursday empowers Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., to approve batches of presidential nominees as opposed to considering each individually. “Democrats and their political base cannot deal with the fact that the American people elected President Trump,” Thune said in a Senate Floor speech Thursday. “It’s time to move. Time to quit stalling.”
Thune accused Democrats of deliberately sabotaging Trump’s nominees by slow-walking negotiations. The accusation is the latest in GOP complaints that the minority party has, for months, resorted to delay tactics to stall Trump’s nominations. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., denied claims of obstruction, saying his caucus was simply responding to Trump’s “historically bad nominees.”
He said Republicans would regret the rule change.
“This is a sad, regrettable day for the Senate, and I believe it won’t take very long for Republicans to wish they had not pushed the chamber further down this awful road,” he said.”
In TOM’s own words: Here we go.
