Johnson is TOMs savior

Now we’re going to tariff people importing into the US. Kinda. TOM is adding a $250 fee to visa fees for non-immigrant visas. “The United States will require international visitors to pay a new “visa integrity fee” of at least $250, added to existing visa application costs, according to a provision in the Trump administration’s recently enacted domestic policy bill.

The fee will apply to all visitors who are required to obtain nonimmigrant visas to enter the United States. This includes many leisure and business travelers, international students and other temporary visitors. In fiscal year 2024, the US issued nearly 11 million nonimmigrant visas, according to State Department figures.”

Mike Johnson is TOMs savior – once again. He rammed through the Big Bully’s Bill and now he is rescuing TOM from the embarrassment of the Epstein debacle by saying school’s out. “House Speaker Mike Johnson is rebuffing pressure to act on the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, instead sending members home early for a month-long break from Washington after the week’s legislative agenda was upended by Republican members who are clamoring for a vote.

Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, said Tuesday morning that he wants to give the White House “space” to release the Epstein information on its own, despite the bipartisan push for legislation that aims to force the release of more documents. The speaker’s stance did little to alleviate the intra-party turmoil unfolding on Capitol Hill as many of President Donald Trump’s supporters demand that the administration meet its promises to publicly release a full accounting of the sex trafficking investigation into Epstein, who killed himself in his New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial. Under pressure from right-wing online influencers, as well as voters back home, rank-and-file Republicans are demanding that the House intervene in the matter.

“The public’s not going to let this die, and rightfully so,” said Rep. Ralph Norman, a South Carolina Republican.” Not only is Johnson saving TOMs ass, he’s throwing every R under the bus when they go home for the next month. Constituents are pissed and want promises made delivered upon. And they aren’t going to be looking to TOM for that. Nope, they’re coming for the guy whose office they can walk into.

The USOPC has also knelt down to kiss the ring of the king. “The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) has officially changed its rules and will bar transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports. That will put them in compliance with President Donald Trump’s executive order on the matter. “As a federally chartered organization, we have an obligation to comply with federal expectations,” a USOPC official told the New York Times.”
