“Transition problems” – this is TOM’s assessment of the shi$$show that is the market the past week. “More generally, the president acknowledged some “transition problems” could be expected in the aftermath of his decision to pause some tariffs.” And for those keeping score at home: “Trump’s tariffs will cost the typical middle-class household $3,443 a year, according to research published by The Budget Lab at Yale. That figure factors in the 90-day pause and the 145% tariffs on China. Lower-income Americans will get hit harder by the tariffs as a share of their total income, according to the analysis.” Lower income Americans. You mean the majority of whom voted for this hellscape?
Who’d have thunk it? The tech bros and the tradwives would end up on the same page. But, like Musky, many tech bros see it as their duty to the world to procreate. And the tradwives are high fiving them and signing them up for the Pronatalist movement. “Elon Musk, who is said to have fathered 14 children, has called fertility decline "the biggest danger civilisation faces, by far". He has donated $10m (£7.75m) to the Population Wellbeing Initiative in Texas, which conducts research into fertility, parenting, and the future of population growth.” Stay tuned folks, these people are going to get much more press.
Sorry, wrong number! In yet another “whoopsie” for TOM, “President Donald Trump mistakenly called his former national security adviser—then insulted him with an f-bomb when it turned out to be the wrong person, it has emerged. The president’s bizarre call to H.R. McMaster, one of his many first-term aides who turned fierce critics, took place March 3, just days before the Signalgate fiasco. The call, which Trump began by saying “Henry,” was intended for South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster. “Why the f--- would I talk” to H.R. McMaster, Trump asked.” Nice. Real upstanding guy. And I’m sure on the other end of the line came the response: Why the f would I talk with TOM?
