Fantasy Administration: Musk traded for Loomer?

Apr 8, 2025 (78/1461)

And on the theory that if 50 of something is good, 100 is twice as good, TOM lobbed a 104% tariff on the Chinese. To which the stock market gave a big fat raspberry. And not only every foreign country on the planet is now loudly protesting the tariffs, billionaires on our very own shores are not having it.”Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone is blasting Trump’s tariffs, calling the 46% import duties on Vietnam “bullshit” and describing the 34% tariff rate on China as “too aggressive, too soon.” “I don’t understand the goddamn formula,” the veteran Republican political campaign donor says in a new interview with The Financial Times.

“I believe [Trump’s] been poorly advised by his advisers about this trade situation — and the formula they’re applying,” he adds. “ More than one person has proposed that the formula for the tariffs was likely generated by AI.

And in using the only tool he is capable of utilizing; J Darth Vance insulted the entire Chinese populace. “To make it a little more crystal clear, we borrow money from Chinese peasants to buy the things those Chinese peasants manufacture.” He added: “That is not a recipe for economic prosperity, it is not a recipe for low prices, and it’s not a recipe for good jobs in the United States of America.” Needless to say, it was not well received. “Lin Jian, the spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry, was asked about the comments on Tuesday and said: “It’s both astonishing and lamentable to hear this vice-president make such ignorant and disrespectful remarks.”The foreign ministry said: “Pressure, threats and blackmail are not the right way to deal with China.”

I am somewhat fascinated by what might be going on behind the curtain. Musky has been noticeably absent from the front lines since his failure in the WI judicial election last week. And even curiouser is the arrival of Looney Toons Loomer on the scene. Are we seeing the beginning of the end? Musky and his brother, Kimball, are being vocal about tariffs. Musk: “I’m hopeful for example with the tariffs…that at the end of the day…it is agreed that Europe and the U.S. should move, ideally in my view, to a zero tariff situation—effectively creating a free trade zone between Europe and North America.”

“Musk also clashed on X with Peter Navarro, a controversial economist, top trade advisor to the President, and the person believed to be behind Trump’s obsession with tariffs.” Musk called him a moron. Kimball didn’t hold back at all "Who would have thought that Trump was actually the most high tax American President in generations," Kimbal Musk posted on X. "Through his tariff strategy, Trump has implemented a structural, permanent tax on the American consumer." Ooooooh. This is gonna get goooood. What would make for truly good reality TV would be Musky turning tail, with all his billions, and backing the resistance! Hell hath no fury like an egomaniac scorned.
