Money for nuthin

Mar 31, 2025 (70/1461)

Co-Pres, Musky is off trying to purchase the Supreme Court in Wisconsin. And quickly retracted a “I’ll pay you for your vote” ad on X and re-wrote it to some slithery, not-quite-illegal side step of the very explicit law that prohibits paying someone to vote, or not vote. Why may you ask would Musky be so interested in the WISC? Wellll, could one reason be that it is illegal for there to be any Tesla dealerships in WI? (There and many other states as well). Me thinks yes? The law is not specifically against Tesla (wouldn’t that be grand) but against manufacturers selling vehicles, versus independent 3rd parties. “Tesla, where Musk holds the CEO role, has been fighting to overturn a Wisconsin law that prohibits it from opening dealerships in that state. The legislation that's currently on the books requires car dealerships to be owned by third parties, not auto manufacturers.” He’s gonna have a lot of voting to pay for if he plans to hit every state with this law. There are currently 14. And most of those are in the south and southeast. How conflicted will they be by this? Support the poor little struggling one-man car dealership in town or let them get gutted by TOM’s Co-Pres? Oh, the angst and moral dilemma….

And a teaser alert for coming shenanigans…..The Third Term. Yup. He’s serious about it. And they’re already tossing out strategies to see which stick and which get shot down (so they can then think up more). I mean really, kids. Don’t tell him it’s a bad idea to try something that will fail. Say nothing. Let him do it and then….FAIL.

The pissing contest between TOM and Putin continues. It’s like watching a playground fight play out. Don’t call me this. Don’t call me that. I can do this. You can’t do that. Remind anyone else of King of the Hill?

And TOM continues to tank all of our 401k’s with his “Liberation Day” tariffs. I’m still scratching my head on exactly who is being liberated? This one is really baffling to me. I really want to know the genius who came up with that moniker. Cause. Not flying, bud. Also they should have checked prior usage (and maybe copyrights?), because it's a movie. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberation_Day_(film)

Want a road? Have a kid

Mar 29 and 30, 2025 (68 and 69/1461)

Nearly completely left out of the sideshows of TOM’s circus is one of the little known secretaries, Sean Duffy of Tranpo. Yah. The guy who replaced Mayor Pete. And here’s his take on doing his master’s bidding.

“On Thursday, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy issued a memo saying that the Trump administration will prioritize areas with higher marriage and birth rates when it decides where to dole out transportation funding.” So let’s be clear. If we want good roads, we need to have babies? “The memo says Trump's DOT will "give preference to communities with marriage and birth rates higher than the national average." The memo added that the policy will also apply to how the administration will administer the Federal Transit Administration's Capital Investment Grants program, which "funds transit capital investments, including heavy rail, commuter rail, light rail, streetcars, and bus rapid transit,” according to the DOT.”

Musky must love this guy! Right up his alley with his 12 -14 (still undetermined) kids, The Big Duff has NINE kids. I get it. You have to drive a lot with that many kids, so you need more roads to drive on. Right? Sure. We’ll go with that logic.

With April Fool’s Day, (aka TOM’s Official Holiday) right around the corner, seems only fitting that some pretty funny things are coming out of his mouth (and pen). “President Donald Trump says Wednesday will be “Liberation Day” — a moment when he plans to roll out a set of tariffs that he promises will free the United States from foreign goods.” Liberation Day…..let me get this straight. The tariffs he will impose which will lead to higher costs on everything we buy are going to liberate us? From….??? I think he doesn’t quite understand the meaning of the word.

TOM is also pissed that Putin is stealing his head bully of the world status. “In an early Sunday morning phone interview with NBC News, Trump was referencing comments Putin made Friday about temporarily putting Ukraine under external governance. Trump said he was “angry, pissed off” when Putin “started getting into Zelenskyy’s credibility.”

Putin repeated his claim that Zelenskyy, whose term expired last year, lacks the legitimacy to sign a peace deal. Under Ukraine’s constitution it is illegal for the country to hold national elections while it’s under martial law.” I’m pretty sure TOM said the exact same thing about Zelenskyy not even 4 weeks ago. It’s ok for TOM to make sleights about people but when someone else steals his thunder and gets more out of the jab than he could, the gauntlet is thrown.

Enemy of the Day: California

Mar 28, 2025 (67/1461)

Judge says… Judge puts stop to…Judge stops Trump….Judge grants injucnction… These are the top headlines today. Every headline involves TOM and a judge.

The second set of “well isn’t that interesting” headlines involves the great state of California. Yup, right over here kids.In the annals of ill will between California and the Trump administration, Thursday may have been a record-breaker.” SIX. TOM came after “us” six times Thursday.

“The U.S. Education Department announced early in the West Coast morning that it would challenge a major state law protecting transgender students. Two hours later came the revocation of federal waivers that had let California colleges include undocumented students in certain programs that receive federal aid.” (This is the same Dept of Ed that soon will not exist? Hmmm. Let’s wait that one out). “The afternoon brought a flurry of investigations into suspected affirmative action in California higher education By sundown, the Agriculture Department had sent Gov. Gavin Newsom a letter saying it would review its education-related funding in California in connection with transgender protections. And the Justice Department announced that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was under investigation for allegedly taking too long to approve applications for concealed-carry permits.”

Woof. That’s a lot of serves to volley with. Distract. Distract. Distract. Look over here. No here. No here. Because what I’m actually doing is so much worse than what you think I’m doing….

Is it kumbaya or kill kill kill for TOM re:Israel v Iran

June 17, 2025 (148/1461) There’s a whole bunch of raised eyebrows and lots of versions of the story on why TOM left the G7 early. Coup...
