I saw a funny post on Instagram last week…..”I’m going to ask for an extension on my taxes. I’m willing to roll the dice that the IRS might not exist by October.” Try 7 months earlier, like maybe today. Ok, I exaggerate. But only a little. Thousands of people were fired from IRS offices across the country today. If you were counting on that refund to ease the burden of the bad economy (thank you TOM) you probably shouldn’t hold your breath. Not only will you pass out, but there likely won’t be emergency responders to come to save you.
