The backlash is about to erupt for TOMs threat to “influence” via tariffs, those in Europe who won’t support his insane demand to allow the US to purchase Greenland. The EU has had enough and has called an emergency meeting. “Ambassadors from across the 27-nation European Union held an emergency meeting in Brussels on Sunday to map out a response to President Trump’s threats to impose tariffs over Greenland, according to diplomats. European officials are scrambling today to figure out how to respond to President Trump’s tariff threats over Greenland. National capitals are talking to the European Commission, which is in charge of trade-related measures for the European Union, and an emergency meeting of ambassadors is expected at 5 p.m. in Brussels, according to diplomats familiar with the plans.” Do what you must, I say. Clearly we need a lot more help over on our shores trying to stop this megalomaniac. If it has to come from the outside, so be it.
If we can all recall a little bit of (recent) history and the creation of DHS. This department, created by Bush, was in response to 9/11. To protect us (US) from outside attacks and international terrorism. The fact that this organization has been coopted into the group that now persecutes our own countrymen is astonishing. “In November 2002, President George W. Still using the unapproved, inappropriate name for the arm of the gov that protects our country – from outside threats. It only became the Dept of War when it started being used against our citizens.
The transactional presidency knows no end.
