Hoping for three big L's for TOM

Dec 11, 2025 (325/1461)

It’s hard to keep the W and L columns straight these days. Indiana – shockingly  - gave TOM a big old L. “Indiana’s Republican-led Senate decisively rejected a redrawn congressional map Thursday that would have favored their party, defying months of pressure from President Donald Trump and delivering a stark setback to the White House ahead of next year’s midterm elections.

The vote was overwhelmingly against the proposed redistricting, with more Republicans opposing than supporting the measure, signaling the limits of Trump’s influence even in one of the country’s most conservative states.” That’s like a nice big middle finger salute to the Corrupter in Chief. “The federal government should not dictate by threat or other means what should happen in our states,” said Spencer Deery, one of the Republican senators who voted no on Thursday.

When the proposal failed 31-19, cheers could be heard inside the chamber as well as shouts of “thank you!” The debate had been shadowed by the possibility of violence, and some lawmakers have received threats.”

DOJ has now failed twice to try to indict Letitia James. Add another tick in the L column for TOM today. The Revenge Tour is turning out to be a real flop. “A grand jury declined for a second time in a week to re-indict New York Attorney General Letitia James on Thursday in another major blow to the Justice Department’s efforts to prosecute the president’s political opponents.

The repeated failures amounted to a stunning rebuke of prosecutors’ bid to resurrect a criminal case President Donald Trump pressured them to bring, and hinted at a growing public leeriness of the administration’s retribution campaign. The Justice Department asked a grand jury in Alexandria, Virginia, to return an indictment Thursday after a different grand jury in Norfolk last week refused to do so.” Three times her charges have been rejected. And with Pro Publica uncovering the fact that TOM did exactly what he claims Letitia James did – claiming two properties as their primary residence in mortgage loans – seems like the teeth of these charges are becoming very dull.

Instead of Mount Rushmore, TOM is trying to put his face on the National Park Pass (which I will NOT buy if they allow it). It’s as bad as the FIFA Peace Prize. Can’t get the real thing so we’ll do this in in place of it to appease the toddler. “An environmental group sued to block a 2026 “America the Beautiful” national park pass featuring President Donald Trump. It alleges that the design violates a 2004 law requiring an annual public photo contest to choose the artwork. The Center for Biological Diversity says putting Trump’s face on the pass violates rules enacted in the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (FLREA). The complaint notes that a photo of Glacier National Park won the public competition for the 2026 pass. Instead, the lawsuit says, officials placed Trump’s headshot on a new “resident” pass and shifted the Glacier image to the new “nonresident” pass. The suit asks a U.S. District Court judge in Washington, D.C., to declare the agencies in violation of the law, vacate the 2026 pass decisions and enjoin any pass that “unlawfully displays an image of President Trump.”  I will pay the higher fee for a nonresident pass just to not have to look at that monster. Let’s all hope for L number three with this one.
