Thankful for those who stand up to TOM

Trying to find some things to be thankful for on this first Thanksgiving with TOM at the helm. I guess I’ll go with learning how deeply I actually feel about the rights and freedoms that are spelled out in our Constitution. How much I value (take for granted) and appreciate those rights and freedoms. Because as we’ve watched the horror movie livestream that takes place at 1600 P.A., there are still those willing to go to the mat – and risk everything – for those rights and freedoms. The list of the good guys over this past 11 months is longer than my brain has capacity to hold. But you can read back over 317 pages of musings preceding this entry and they show up. This leaves me with a hope and an optimism (and I am not an optimist by nature!) that more will follow in line. More will join the sane and reasonable who still live among us. That we will survive. That even though “It Can’t Happen Here” predicted that it could, in the end the resistance DID win out over the autocrat dictator who tried to cause the failure of the greatest experiment in history in that book. And in our reality.
