The Pentagon is threatening to call Sen Mark Kelly back into service……to COURT MARTIAL him! (I feel like TOM writing like that). The Dept of War (insert puke emoji) issued the statement. “The Department of War announced Monday that it has opened a formal review into allegations of misconduct against Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona over a video calling on service members to "refuse illegal orders."

The Pentagon said it may even call Kelly, a retired Navy captain, back to active duty to face court-martial proceedings or other administrative actions under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. "The Department of War reminds all individuals that military retirees remain subject to the UCMJ for applicable offenses," the statement read. "A servicemember’s personal philosophy does not justify or excuse the disobedience of an otherwise lawful order." There had better be a large uprising in support of him if this goes forward. Because FA rights are FA rights. RIGHT, TOM?? He didn’t tell them to disobey all orders, just the ones they are obliged to disobey by the Constitution. The illegal ones.

On the correct side of justice, however, both the Comey and James cases have been dismissed by a judge. “A federal judge on Monday dismissed the criminal cases against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James, concluding that the prosecutor who brought the charges at President Donald Trump’s urging was illegally appointed by the Justice Department.

The rulings from U.S. District Judge Cameron McGowan Currie amount to a stunning rebuke of the Trump administration’s efforts to target Trump’s political opponents as well as its legal maneuvering to hastily install a loyalist prosecutor willing to file the cases.

The orders make Lindsey Halligan the latest Trump administration prosecutor to be disqualified because of the manner in which they were appointed.” Not to mention her illegal re-crafting of the indictment which was never re-shown to the full Grand Jury. In the Trump administration’s first public remarks about shuttering DOGE, he also said it is no longer a “centralized entity.” This is akin to “I don’t know what you could be referring to….” Or “I’m not familiar with that agency.” Good lord. TOM cannot stand to be embarrassed and called out as a failure, so instead DOGE just doesn’t exist. I would hedge that there is similar treatment of actual humans. I don’t like you therefore you don’t exist. I can’t see you (with hands over eyes).
