TOM is bringing down most of the East Wing, and Treasury is telling its workers
that they can’t take pictures and post them. (unless authorized of course). It’s
a huuuge demo project and TOM thinks he’s gonna keep it a secret. Mind you he
did say that he wasn’t going to take anything down….
“Construction crews Monday started demolishing part of the East Wing of the White House as part of President Donald Trump’s project to build a new ballroom, according to an administration official.
Trump said in July that the project “won’t interfere with the current building.”
“It’ll be near it, but not touching it, and pays total respect to the existing building, which I’m the biggest fan of,” Trump said at the time.” Biggest fan. Yup. That’s clear as the metallic claw came swooping in and gouged an enormous hole in the side of our country’s house. “The project could be the biggest physical change to the White House since the 1940s, when President Franklin D. Roosevelt expanded the East Wing in 1942, followed by President Harry Truman’s adding an eponymous balcony on the South Portico in 1948.” He already destroyed the Rose Garden. This ought to be another ostentatious, gold-laden eye sore as well.
Putin has told TOM to talk to the hand. “President Donald Trump’s plan to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin is on hold after a call between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov. Trump previously said he and Putin would meet in Hungary to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.
According to White House officials, Trump and Putin have no plans to meet in the immediate future. Nevertheless, the White House said the call between Rubio and Lavrov was “productive.” Following his meeting with Trump, Zelenskyy spoke with European leaders to discuss plans to end the war. On Tuesday, 11 European leaders signed a statement saying they “strongly support” Trump’s position that fighting between Russia and Ukraine should stop “immediately.” However, Lavrov threw cold water on the idea, saying Moscow was only interested in “long-term, sustainable peace.” Zelenskyy was also hesitant to fully support stopping the war without regaining the nearly 20% of Ukraine that is under Russian control.” Annnnd we’re back to square one.
