Schumer is in the crosshairs now. TOM is not happy. He didn’t get his way, as he’s so used to doing these days with his sycophant Senate toadies. “After weeks of negotiations and even a rare weekend meeting, senators were unable to come to an agreement on President Donald Trump’s nominations before the August recess. Now, Republicans say they may change Senate rules to make sure Trump’s nominees go through. Democrats have blocked many of Trump’s nominations, forcing roll-call votes instead of the usual unanimous consent votes. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., pushed back on Republicans’ suggestion of changing the rules to get the nominations, saying it would be a “huge mistake.” In the same post, Trump pointed out Schumer directly, saying he was asking for “one billion dollars” to approve nominees. Democrats were asking Republicans for concessions in Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill,” specifically, if they would unfreeze funding for the National Institute of Health and foreign aid funding. “Tell Schumer, who is under tremendous political pressure from within his own party, the Radical Left Lunatics, to GO TO HELL! Do not accept the offer,” Trump said.”
India is also standing up to TOMs bullying. “Anonymous sources with the Indian government told Reuters on Saturday that New Delhi would continue buying crude oil from Russia, regardless of threats from President Donald Trump to impose additional tariffs and an unspecified penalty on the country if it financially supported Moscow. Without addressing Trump’s threat directly, one of the sources said India’s agreement with Russia includes “long-term contracts,” adding, “It is not so simple to just stop buying overnight.”
TOMs “make it so” attitude is running into real life logistics. And just plain irritation on the part of many leaders of nations across the globe. Since he seems to be a one-trick pony, I wonder how the tariff tirade will play out in the next 18-24 months.
