Things are relatively quiet on the TOM front. Guess all the excitement from ruining the country in one pen stroke tuckered out the poor old a$$hat. Musky was pushing a poll on whether he should start the America Party. TBD the fallout for the strong-arming TOM had to do to get the bill over the line. Payback is always a beatch. When other, small, poor, rural states like Alaska figure out how screwed they are, will they also beat fists upon tables and demand the sweet deals that Murkowski was promised to buy her vote? “Negotiations over the bill stretched on to the eleventh hour before the bill was passed on Tuesday, with Murkowski opposing the legislation until she secured clean energy tax credits, assurances of oil drilling leases and other priorities for her state. TOM & Co have again wielded the mighty military sword with the claim of an emergency in FL to assist ICE agents. “The U.S. military has deployed approximately 200 Marines to Florida to assist U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with non-enforcement duties. The move is part of a broader mobilization of up to 700 Department of Defense personnel authorized by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to support ICE operations in Florida, Louisiana and Texas.

The Marines are part of the first wave of this support, which includes active duty, reserve and National Guard troops. The deployment responds to a request from the Department of Homeland Security. U.S. Northern Command says it will assign service members to handle administrative and logistical tasks inside ICE facilities. The military prohibits them from having direct contact with detainees or taking part in the custody process. The Pentagon emphasized that troops are not conducting law enforcement activities.” Ahhhh, our highly trained, highly skilled Marines are going to be doing scut work for ICE. I get it. You push the papers ya little sallies, while we hike up our britches and get them sum bitches locked up.

And so the Air Force wouldn’t feel left out: “Separately, officials designated a 250-mile stretch of the Texas-Mexico border as a National Defense Area and assigned the Air Force to oversee logistics and coordination from Joint Base San Antonio.”

Maybe TOM should shift some of those troops to helping Texans find 27 missing children from a camp that was flooded. Parents, family, and friends are combing areas losing hope by the hour. “A massive search is underway to find at least 20 young girls at a Texas summer camp as the Lone Star State is combats flash flooding that has killed at least 24 people. 

At least 23 Camp Mystic campers are still missing. Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha said authorities were able to access the camp on Friday to begin evacuating the children.” Barely a peep from TOM as he raised his ridiculous gavel on July 4 and slammed it on his sham bill.
