“Billboards thanking President Trump have popped up across Damascus, Syria’s capital city. CNN’s Clarissa Ward meets the woman trying to “Make Syria Great Again.” Global Justice is the group behind the billboards. https://www.cnn.com/2025/06/06/world/video/damascus-syria-trump-clarissa-ward-digvid Interesting. It certainly jives with his ego-stroking.
The Musky TOM feud seems to be only percolating currently. Not boiling over like yesterday. But I think the competitors have merely gone back to their respective corners to re-group. And oh, maybe do their actual jobs for a day.
In a huuuuge win for TOM, SCOTUS has allowed DOGE to access the social security admin databases. “We conclude that, under the present circumstances, SSA may proceed to afford members of the SSA DOGE Team access to the agency records in question in order for those members to do their work,” the court said in an unsigned order.” The three liberal justices dissented. “Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson said the court’s action creates “grave privacy risks” for millions of Americans by giving “unfettered data access to DOGE regardless — despite its failure to show any need or any interest in complying with existing privacy safeguards, and all before we know for sure whether federal law countenances such access.” Justice Sonia Sotomayor joined Jackson’s opinion and Justice Elena Kagan said she also would have ruled against the administration.” No bueno.
