Coney Barrett is TOM's Souter

Amy Coney Barrett is going to be TOM’s David Souter. “President Donald Trump has privately lashed out at conservative Supreme Court justices for not consistently backing his agenda, taking particular aim at his most recent appointee Amy Coney Barrett.

One week after Barrett enraged MAGA Republicans by recusing herself from an Oklahoma charter school case, CNN reported that the president has become increasingly frustrated by his 2020 Supreme Court pick, fueled by right-wing allies telling him that she is “weak”.”

 A little history lesson, George Bush nominated David Souter to the Supremes believing that he would vote in line with Bush’s policies. “Although he was appointed by President George H.W. Bush, over the years he became a reliable fourth vote in the liberal minority as the court became more conservative.” Turns out Coney Barrett may have a spine in her after all. Though she may come across as meek, she certainly has stood her ground on several cases. The recusal being the most recent. “Tensions in MAGA world over Barrett have been simmering for months. In March, for example, Barrett voted to reject Trump’s attempt to freeze nearly $2 billion in foreign aid, prompting legal commentator Mike Davis to declare on Steve Bannon’s podcast: “She’s a rattled law professor with her head up her ass.” Earlier in January, Barrett sided with Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, a fellow conservative, and the liberal justices of the court to allow Trump to be sentenced in his so-called “hush money” trial.” And in the lowest of lows…“Amy Coney Barrett was a DEI appointee,” far-right influencer, Laura Loomer wrote on X in March. The post also featured a photo of Barrett’s family, which includes two children adopted from Haiti, who are Black.” Looney Toons really lives up to her name in that post.

The Musky-TOM break up is now in the name calling phase. “Tech billionaire Elon Musk, who just left the Trump administration as an adviser involved in the Department of Government Efficiency, blasted the tax cuts and spending plans backed by the president that passed the House.

“This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination,” Musk posted Tuesday on X. “Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.” This is gonna get better and better. The gloves are definitely coming off for TOM, and remember, he’s a huuuge germophobe. Truth Social is going to be on Fire. Lots of CAPITAL letters.  And LOTS of “!!!!”  Makes me almost want to sign up. Almost….
