TOM graced the campus of West Point to deliver their commencement speech. He attempted to give praise to the heralded institution but couldn’t quite not give shade to it. TOM attended the New York Military Academy for high school and commented that he had been near the West Point campus for several years at another military institution, which might not have been “quite as rigorous.” And he was off…."You will become officers in the greatest and most powerful Army the world has ever known," Mr. President said, "And I know because I rebuilt the Army and I rebuilt the military, and we rebuilt it like nobody had ever rebuilt it before." “…West Point is complying with the second Trump administration's executive order banning diversity, equity, and inclusion, or DEI, programs in the military. In February, the U.S. military academy disbanded a dozen cadet clubs formed around race and gender, including the Asian-Pacific Forum Club, the National Society of Black Engineers Club, and the Society of Women Engineers Club.”
In the dark of night (Friday eve) TOM’s gov also fired over 100 National Security Council employees. Nearly half of the staff. “The dramatic downsizing of the council, a coordinating body across departments that guides the president and his top aides on key policy decisions, comes as Mr. Trump has built his national security and foreign policy teams with officials who largely share his skepticism of foreign interventions, and who will not work aggressively to oppose that perspective. Andy Baker, Vice President JD Vance’s national security adviser, will serve as the deputy for the reconfigured council, alongside Robert Gabriel, whose current title is assistant to the president for policy.” Fewer people having more tasks. And tasks that are higher and higher level. How many roles does Rubio have now? I’ve lost track. And so we’ll dump small things like National Security Council staffing onto TOM and Darth Vance’s pansies. They can juggle all those balls safely right? Never mind those are Fabergé eggs they’re playing with. I certainly don’t feel safer now.
Especially when TOM is ramping up his bullying about tariffs. Here we go again. Broken record skipping skipping skipping. Please someone, kick the phonograph! “Mr. Trump, who chose on Friday to revive the uncertainty that has kept businesses and consumers on edge. The president threatened 50 percent tariffs on the European Union, and a 25 percent tariff on Apple. Other tech companies, he said, could face the same rate.” This is on top of the big bully’s bill that is forecasted to increase the deficit and (of course) only benefit the wealthiest of Americans. “In report after report, economists this week predicted that Mr. Trump’s signature tax package could add well over $3 trillion to the national debt. Some found that the measure is unlikely to deliver substantial economic growth, and could enrich the wealthiest Americans while harming the poorest, millions of whom could soon lose access to federal aid for food and health insurance.” And TOM continues along with his bulldozer, running over everything in its path that stands in the way of him destroying this country and the fundamentals it was built upon.
