TOM “dealed” himself a new plane! And from the not-at-all suspicious Qataris of all places. Sorry Boeing, no more AirForce One for you. The plane would have to be completely dismantled to verify that there was no form of tracking, listening or other intelligence-gathering device and then re-assembled. And you can bet your bottom dollar, it’s going with the T Man when he leaves.
In addition to Tulsi, TOM is now apparently a fan of Syria. Maybe he also sees it as the world’s next great vacation spot. While over on a short Middle East countries crawl, he decided to ease sanctions on the once dictatorship-led Syria and to try to “normalize” relations with the new leader. “Trump made the announcement shortly before he was set to meet Wednesday in Saudi Arabia with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, the onetime insurgent who last year led the overthrow of longtime leader Bashar Assad. Trump said the effort at rapprochement came at the urging of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi de facto ruler, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“There is a new government that will hopefully succeed,” Trump said of Syria, adding, “I say, good luck, Syria. Show us something special.”
He’s now taking diplomatic advice from Erdogan? A man who has let a democratic society fall quickly towards authoritarianism and whose economic policies have created rampant inflation and depreciation of the lira. Oh right. TOM may have a new punching bag on the D side of things….Rahm Emmanuel is looking to toss his hat into the 2028 run. Stay tuned for the requisite nickname from TOM that will arise if he does so.
