While we wait out the great marathon voting going on in the Senate, let’s return to one of my favorites: How many lawsuits against TOM & Co? Well folks we’re now at 238. Yes really. And you can look at all of them here https://apnews.com/projects/trump-executive-order-lawsuit-tracker/ Or just the graphic tells the story best.
And now TOM is reciprocating by suing LA. The whole city. “President Donald Trump’s administration filed suit Monday against Los Angeles, claiming the city is obstructing the enforcement of immigration laws and creating a lawless environment with its sanctuary policies that bar local police from sharing information on people without legal status.
The lawsuit in U.S. District Court says Los Angeles’ “ sanctuary city” ordinance hinders White House efforts to crack down on what it calls a “crisis of illegal immigration.” It is the latest in a string of lawsuits against so-called sanctuary jurisdictions — including New York,New Jersey and Colorado — that limit cooperation with federal immigration authorities. “We will keep enforcing federal immigration law in Los Angeles, whether or not the city’s government or residents agree with it,” Mizelle said in a social media post on the platform X.” The residents might have a thing or two to say about that. Or did TOM already forget about the protests that scared him so much he brought in the National Guard and Marines to “protect.” Protect whom exactly? Still in question.
As with everything else in the world, there’s an app for that. (being protected from ICE if you’re in LA in particular). “As protests continue across the U.S. over the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, one app is offering a more discreet way to resist. Developers created “ICEBlock,” a new iPhone app that alerts users about nearby Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity. Users can drop a pin on a digital map that shows where they last saw ICE agents. The users can also include a note describing details about the officers or their vehicles. Anyone else with the app and in a five-mile radius will then get a notification about the sighting. Aaron said the app doesn’t collect personal data and keeps users anonymous. Currently, the app is only available on iPhones because Apple’s system doesn’t require the kind of user data Android apps typically collect.
He said there are currently about 20,000 users, many of them in Los Angeles, where protesters have been the most active.”
And one last note on the illegal crap occurring on The Hill and in our cities. “There are currently more than 50,000 migrants being held in ICE custody, higher than the 41,500 detainee beds approved by Congress.”
Two Week TOMs new subject is now TikTok. Apparently he’s found a buyer. Well a group of them. Very, very wealthy. He’ll tell us all about it…..IN TWO WEEKS…….
