Here we are. 100 down. Darth Vance seems to be trying to assuage fears that we are on a burning train to hell. “Vice President JD Vance said the first 100 days of the Trump administration were about making changes "very quickly," but the next 100 days will require Congress and international partners to "step up to the plate." "The first 100 days is — you’re almost fixing and addressing all the things that are very easy to do," Vance said. "I mean, the border crisis is a matter of presidential enforcement. You have a different president. You have different enforcement policies that happen immediately that don’t require an act of Congress. It is just something you can change immediately.” Read: we did stuff we’re trying to slide by the royal subjects. The tactic of baffle, overwhelm, and confuse.

TOM is trying to have his cake and eat it too. A GDP dip in Q1, he is blaming on Biden, of course. BUT, that little uptick in private sector growth? That’s all him. “During an "Investing in America" event at the White House this afternoon, Trump said Biden oversaw the "worst trade deficit ever" and said the decrease in real GDP was a result of "the Biden economy."

"We took over on January 20, and I think you have to get us a little bit of time to get moving, but this is the Biden economy," Trump said. Despite that, Trump still took credit for certain aspects of the economy outlined in today's GDP report, including "strong private sector growth."  And of course we all know that TOM only does good things. He never ever has any hand in the things that ruin people’s lives and tear apart their families.

Finally TOM is talking on a level that he understands. Maybe fourth grade? Here’s Econ 101 with tariffs according to TOM. “President Donald Trump on Wednesday acknowledged that his tariffs could result in fewer and costlier products in the United States, saying American kids might “have two dolls instead of 30 dolls,” but he insisted China will suffer more from his trade war.” Yup. That about covers it. Twenty-eight less dolls for every kid in the US. Nothing else will come out of this tariff war with China. It’s just dolls, stupid.

And if that wasn’t plain enough English for you, then this: “Tariffs will soon start kicking in, and companies are starting to move into the USA in record numbers. Our Country will boom, but we have to get rid of the Biden ‘Overhang.’ This will take a while, has NOTHING TO DO WITH TARIFFS.” The Biden Overhang. That’s a new one on me. I await with bated breath the description and plan for how we dismantle that “overhang.”

Many in this country already thought this, but now it’s official (according to Karoline Leavitt, TOM’s Chief Chihuahua) Amazon is an enemy of the state. And the devil incarnate. Ok, I added that. But you’d think that’s the sentiment from TOM country. “The White House is taking aim at Amazon, calling the e-commerce giant’s reported plans to soon display how much tariffs are increasing prices next to products a “hostile and political” move.

“I just got off the phone with the president about this, about Amazon’s announcement. This is a hostile and political act by Amazon,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said during a briefing Tuesday. Punchbowl News reported Tuesday that Amazon is planning to soon display how much President Donald Trump’s tariffs are adding to each of its products’ prices.” Right, because we would not want to have informed consumers. And since TOM torched the CFPB, why not Amazon to stand up for the little guy? I mean just because Bezos would never in a million years have done that before tariffs, doesn’t mean we can’t give him and The Big A a little head nod to showing US purchasers what’s what.

You will recall that Jeffy was among several Tech Bros who forked over bug sums to cozy up to TOM as the inauguration approached. Just like with the big NO to Sarah H Sanders in Arkansas, TOM’s recognition of someone’s fealty is fleeting. “But he (Bezos) was among several billionaire tech CEOs who directed donations to Trump’s inauguration fund earlier this year, with Amazon contributing $1 million, and has since met with the president at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.”

TOM may have single-handedly offered to China their greatest cause for nationalism and country loyalty. His awareness of cultural norms and relationships across the globe is shockingly poor. What is the main tenet of Chinese relations? Never lose face. There is no way in this universe that Xi decides to “negotiate” with someone who is attempting to publicly shame 1.416 billion people. And Xi made a video just to be sure he was clear.

The eye of the storm indeed. All bullies are just paper tigers. China, for the world, must rise and fight on. That’s a pretty big rallying cry if I ever heard one. You go, Xi.

Hegsloth has stepped in it once again. “Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth boasted on social media Tuesday that he had dismantled a program supporting women on security teams, an initiative that he called “woke” but actually was signed into law by his boss, President Donald Trump.

In a post on the social platform X, Hegseth called the “Women, Peace & Security” program at the Defense Department “a UNITED NATIONS program pushed by feminists and left-wing activists. Politicians fawn over it; troops HATE it.”

It was, in fact, bipartisan legislation that Trump signed into law in 2017 that recognized the role women have in achieving security goals, especially overseas when their male counterparts may not be able to question or have direct access to women for cultural or religious reasons.”  Dumb and Dumber. Hegsloth is actually both actors. But this isn't a movie, this is his reality show.

 Well kids, we made it (almost). The Big 100. Tomorrow we will have survived 6.8% of TOM’s residence in the WH. The news outlets and talking heads are going to be hoarse by the end of the day is my guess with all of the analysis and forecasting that’s going to take place.
